I'd never given much thought to how I would die - though I'd had reason enough in the last few months - but even if I had, I would not have imagined it like this. 為何用would + pp而不直接用past tense?

因為兩個原因...一)美式英語比較重讀法多過grammer... 係讀法來說這個 would + pp係比較揉情... 二係因為 would + pp 係表示從來沒有想過(不可能想過), past tense 只表示以前無想過... 我諗係咁...
